First Day on the New Jobbie Job

My life has pretty much come to an end. That's ok though. I had it easy enough for too long. And at least those easy times were over the summer.

I have a boss that gets into the office around 6. I think he expects me to be the same way or at least to be here by 7. There's a branch of clients in London so this just goes with the territory since they are 6 hours ahead. Besides, there's a nice gym in my building for the associates so I plan on being at the building at around 5 or 5:30 anyway so if I need to come in earlier I can and then I'll just workout during lunch. The upside of working like this is that this schedule will keep me out of trouble during the week. I used to work like this but my last job got too easy. I got complacent and that's a feeling I never like to have b/c it just causes you to become lazy in and outside of work. Complacency is a disease that becomes a lifestyle.

Even though it's somewhat frustrating, it's nice to feel like a fish out of water again... not knowing a damn thing, not knowing who does what, etc. It's hard to believe that starting fresh would mean all that confusion but it is what it is.

On top of it, I'm going to have to start traveling out to NYC in a couple of months. That will be fun to get a change of scenery in the dead of winter. I'll try to get a couple of long weekends out of it. Speaking of the east coast, I think my roommate may have to move out there soon which would completely suck seeing that we would have to maybe sell Club Honore. Something I'm not quite willing to part with just yet. We're going to talk about it more tonight.
